Two people were killed and eight were injured as a result of the missile attack in Odessa today, announced the chairman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleg Kiper, BTA reported.
A little earlier, he reported eight wounded. There is damage to residential buildings and civil infrastructure. Representatives of the relevant services have been sent to the site of the missile strike, added Kiper.
Regional authorities are warning local residents to respond promptly to air warning signals. The Bulgarians in Odesa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest in number according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. In the city of Odesa itself live about 50-60 thousand Bulgarians. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorodnist regions.
