The Prosecutor's Office with the first comment on the accused of forgery Lena Borislavova

In connection with numerous inquiries from the media on the occasion of a report filed by A.R., Chairman of the Management Board of the Association "Yes let's keep Coral“, in State Agency "National Security“ (DANS), Sofia District Prosecutor's Office (SRP) specifies the following:

On 11.08.2023, pre-trial proceedings were initiated, which are conducted under Art. 313, para. 1 of the NC. The proceedings were initiated because a falsehood was confirmed in a written message sent by L.B. electronically to the Registration Agency, required under the Commercial Law for certification of circumstances – release of K.P. from the position of member of the Board of Directors of the Association "Let's keep Coral"; and the election of M.D.

As the same, it should have been carried out at a meeting of the General Assembly of the Association, which is claimed to have been held on 05/06/2021.

In the course of the investigation, ten witnesses were questioned, operative-search measures were also carried out. Many relevant documents have been attached to the case, and a reference from the "Let's Preserve Coral" Association has been requested.

In the course of the investigation, data was established on the commission of other documented crimes – drawing up and using false documents submitted to the Registration Agency. In this regard, more interrogations of persons related to the committed actions are forthcoming, as well as the inclusion of their comparative samples of signatures and handwriting.

In the pre-trial proceedings, it is expected that forensic graphic and technical expertise will be prepared shortly, after which the supervising prosecutor will rule on the course of the case and the possibility of being brought in as accused persons, against whom evidence of participation is collected in documentary and other crimes.

The SRP will inform the public about the progress of the pre-trial proceedings.
